ISO 16750-4 Ice Water Splash and Immersion Shock Test Chamber
TT-BSFJ ice water splash and immersion shock test chamber for ISO 16750-4: upper hot-air zone to 150 °C, lower tank cooled to 0-4 °C, programmed 3 s splash / 29 min 57 s interval cycles, with PID-controlled flow of 3-4 L per 3 s and optional 3% Arizona dust test liquid.
Overview
The TT-BSFJ performs the ice water splash and ice water immersion shock tests required by ISO 16750-4 for electrical and electronic equipment of road vehicles. The chamber combines the two environments in one unit: the upper section is a hot-air oven that holds the specimen at high temperature, and the lower section is a refrigerated water tank that conditions the test liquid near 0 °C. Moving the specimen between shock heat and ice water reproduces the thermal shock a vehicle component sees when a hot part is suddenly splashed by cold water.
Key Features
The upper oven reaches RT+10 to 150 °C within 45 minutes, and the lower stainless steel tank is cooled to 0 to +4 °C with uniform temperature maintained by water circulation. The spray jet is fixed on the right side of the inner box, and the distance between jet and specimen surface is adjusted manually at 325 ± 25 mm. An electronic flow meter feeds the PLC, which holds the splash flow constant at 3-4 L per 3 s by PID control; flow and temperature are displayed directly on the 7-inch touch screen.
The splash cycle is set on the touch screen: 3 s spray and 29 min 57 s interval per cycle, with the cycle count settable. The test liquid can be water or water with 3% Arizona fine dust. Inner boxes are SUS316 stainless steel, insulation is high-density glass fiber, and the door has a multi-layer hollow tempered glass observation window with LED lighting. Protection covers leakage, water shortage, short circuit, phase sequence, and heat overload.
