Brief introduction:
This test device is specially used to verify the protection capability against water jets, and inspect the waterproof ingress performance of products to confirm the protection grades marked by the second characteristic number: IPX5 (Protected against water jets) and IPX6 (Protected against powerful water jets).
Both IPX5 and IPX6 require the test specimen to be sprayed with water from all feasible directions. For IPX5 tests, a nozzle with a 6.3mm diameter opening and a water flow rate of 12.5L/min is specified; for IPX6 tests, a nozzle with a 12.5mm diameter opening and a water flow rate of 100L/min is adopted.
