Connector Insertion and Extraction Force Tester
TT-IE301 connector insertion and extraction force tester with single test station: 0–50 kg force range, 0–80 mm adjustable stroke, 5–60 times/min test speed, up to 999999 settable cycles, and PLC software control with color touch screen and micro thermal printer. Horizontal TT-IE301 and vertical TT-IE301L frames are available.
Overview
The TT-IE301 measures the insertion and extraction forces of connectors, plugs and sockets and can run them through repeated mating cycles. The machine holds a single test station and records the force during each stroke, so connectors are checked both for the feel of the first insertion and for contact degradation over life.
Key Features
The test force range is 0 to 50 kg and the stroke is adjustable within 0 to 80 mm. The test speed is settable from 5 to 60 times per minute and the cycle counter runs from 0 to 999999 times, so both one-shot force checks and long durability runs are handled by the same machine.
Control is by PLC software programming with a color touch screen display, and a micro thermal printer is built in for test records. Two frame types are available: the TT-IE301 horizontal type and the TT-IE301L vertical type.

Applications
Connector force testing complements the safety tests around electrical appliances and components, and the TT-IE301 is frequently ordered together with our IEC 60695-10-2 ball pressure test apparatus and the IP test finger probe kit for enclosure protection testing for a complete electrical appliance laboratory.
Typical samples include wire-to-board and wire-to-wire connectors, charging interfaces, switches and socket outlets that are qualified by insertion force, extraction force and mating durability.
