AATCC 127 Hydrostatic Head Tester
TT-AHHT-100 hydrostatic head tester for AATCC 127 and ISO 811 fabric waterproofness testing: 0–100 kPa range with ±0.2 % accuracy, 100 cm² clamp area, selectable Pa/kPa/mmH2O/cmH2O/mbar units, 60 mbar/min pressure rate, and touch screen control with LED sample illumination.
Overview
The TT-AHHT-100 hydrostatic head tester measures the resistance of fabrics to water penetration under a steadily rising hydrostatic pressure. It covers the AATCC 127 hydrostatic pressure test and ISO 811, with a standard pressure rise of 60 mbar per minute. An LED lamp behind the test area lets the operator watch for water droplets penetrating the specimen.
Key Features
The instrument is offered in two ranges: TT-AHHT-100 covers 0–100 kPa with ±0.2 % test accuracy, and the TT-AHHT-200 variant extends the scale to 0–200 kPa with ±0.5 % accuracy. Readings can be displayed in Pa, kPa, mmH2O, cmH2O or mbar, and the 60 mbar per minute rising rate can be adjusted steplessly for other test protocols.
Control is via a PLC with a touch screen; the tester stores five groups of test data and a thermal printer is provided for test records. The 2500 ml water tank, compact 580 × 400 × 700 mm benchtop body and single-phase 220 V supply make it suitable for laboratory benches.

Applications
The tester is used for waterproofness quality control of coated fabrics, tent cloth, non-woven fabrics and finished waterproof cloth. Laboratories that test outdoor textiles often combine it with our UL rain test apparatus or the IPX1-IPX4 waterproof test chamber for electronics to cover both textile and enclosure water-resistance requirements.
Typical specimens include laminates, medical packaging non-wovens, tarpaulins and performance outerwear fabrics that are specified by their hydrostatic head rating.
