Overview
The TT-IPX8PS is a pressure immersion test machine for verifying the IPX8 waterproof performance of enclosures under IEC 60529 and ISO 20653. The sample is submerged in a pressurized water tank, so the test reproduces the effect of continuous immersion below the surface defined by the agreed water depth. Because the tank is operated by air pressure rather than by physical water column height, a compact benchtop machine can simulate deeper immersion conditions than the height of the tank itself.
Typical applications include mobile phones and wearable devices, LED lighting, automotive connectors and components, EV charging equipment, outdoor electrical enclosures, waterproof sensors, communication equipment, and marine or offshore electronics. The integrated power supply terminals let the sample stay energized while it is immersed, so leakage or failure under working voltage can be observed during the test.
Key Features
The test tank is made of transparent plexiglass, so the sample stays visible throughout the pressurized test. The chassis is stainless steel with a 45-degree bevel control panel, and the tank lid is sealed by a silicone seal ring. Pressure is controlled automatically by a pressure sensor with a control accuracy of ±0.002 MPa and a display accuracy of 0.001 MPa.
A 0-999 minute timer runs each test; when the set time is reached, the air supply stops and pressure in the tank exhausts automatically so the lid can be opened and the sample retrieved. Custom test conditions such as pressure range and tank configuration can be specified when ordering.
