Burning Test Equipment
FMVSS 571.302 Automotive Interior Material Flammability Tester
Automotive interior material flammability tester for FMVSS 571.302 and GB 8410 testing. Designed for evaluating burning performance of automotive fabrics, plastics, carpets and interior materials.
The Automotive Interior Material Flammability Tester is designed to evaluate the burning performance of materials used in motor vehicle occupant compartments. It is designed with reference to FMVSS 571.302, GB 8410, ISO 379, and ASTM D5132.
The tester is suitable for automotive fabrics, carpets, plastic components, interior trim materials, insulation materials, engineering plastics, and other solid combustible materials. It is widely used for material development, quality control, compliance testing, and laboratory research.
Test Principle
A controlled flame is applied to the test specimen using a Bunsen burner for a specified period. After ignition, the operator observes the burning behavior and records relevant parameters such as burning time and burning distance according to the applicable test method.
The results can be used to evaluate the flammability and burning characteristics of the tested material.
